Retirement sale; going out of business; everything must go! After thirty-five years of self-employment and upon turning sixty-five, I have decided to shut down my retail garden center and move on to new adventures. Gardening has been an exercise in faith and optimism and it will be hard to say good-bye to the Greenhouse and all it has meant to me, my employees, and all my customers.

April 3, 1928 ~ April 30, 2018

Betty Ruth Adams, 90, was born on April 3rd 1928 to Jess and Augusta B Coleman Adams in Harper Kansas. She passed peacefully early Monday morning April 30, at her home in Loveland with family by her side.

Betty’s family moved to Beloit, Kansas by the time she was one.  Her father, Jesse Adams was the superintendent of the gas company and headed up the gas piping project for Beloit and surrounding towns.  Betty was raised in Beloit and graduated from Beloit High School in 1946.  While in high school Betty was awarded the honor of First Citizen. She was chosen by the seniors to represent the girls in her class of 1946 because of her sense of cooperation, responsibility,

 

 



Bernice “Bernie” Ruth McCain passed in peace Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at her home in Lyons, at the age of 91.

Bernice was born February 9, 1926 in Haigler, NE to Henry and Edna Kraus. In 1943 she married Grant Jones of Wray, Colorado and together they had five sons, they later divorced. In 1972, she married her beloved husband Merle McCain who was her soulmate for the last forty-five years of her life.They enjoyed traveling and fishing and together, visited many parts of the country creating many fond memories. She

Carl L. Frysig passed away December 24, 2017 at LifeCare Center in Longmont, CO.  He was 82 years old.

Carl was born on June 2, 1935 in Chinook, MT to Carl F. and Mary (Donehoo) Frysig.  The family moved to California in the late 1930s, when Carl’s father died the family moved to Lyons,
